More-than-Human Water Policymaking

About the project

The More-than-Human Smart Decision-Making in Water Policy pilot project (2023) investigated novel methods for engaging with diverse stakeholders. It also kickstarted a collaboration with policymakers and creative practitioners around river policymaking. The team further developed novel methods called a Multispecies Live Action Role Play (which they pioneered in earlier projects), to examine how emerging technology and data could enhance the participation of local human and non-human stakeholders in decisions impacting river ecologies. We conducted a workshop by the River Lea, and commissioned this short film.
